Lighting in a bottle is an instantaneous gratification, this particular beat was made and arranged and completed in exactly 10 minutes. The only thing missing was the right vocalist to carry it through. By this point in time there were quite a few vocalists that we had worked with before. Joseph kiwango being one of them and the top contender for this particular song but, Hiribae felt that it needed a female vocal a really delicate one to match the melody.
He suggested Wams, who at the time I didn't know was a vocalist, even moreso a formally trained one under Sauti Academy. She was really shy as we set up the studio in our friends living room, she did not feel her voice was good enough.
That all changed once she opened her mouth and delivered this heart tugging lyrics and Kiwango provided the counterpoint to fully balance the story.
